What an amazing nine days it’s been at the Scottish Gliding Centre for their Scottish Cross Country Development Week at the picturesque Portmoak!
From 20th April to 28th April, we supplied hearty breakfasts and lunches from our catering trailer, featuring a mixture of Breakfast Rolls, Wraps, Toasties, Soups, Burgers, Fries and Daily Specials. And on three special nights we were asked to provide dinner from their onsite cafe #TopBun!
Here’s a taste of the dinners we served:
Sunday 21st - Steak Pie, Roast Potatoes Broccoli & Carrots, followed by Traditional Cranachan.
Wednesday 24th - Chilli con Carne, Rice and Biscoff Cheesecake.
Saturday 27th - Chicken Kievs, Mash Potatoes, Corn on the Cob & Green Beans topped off with Apple Pie & Custard.
It was a truly fantastic week spent with amazing people. If you’re ever interested in taking up gliding, or just popping up for a visit, you’ll always receive a warm welcome from this bunch!
No event would run as smoothly without the support from Thomson Of Thornton Butchers, so a huge shoutout to our incredible butcher for dealing with our last minute orders, and for providing us with top-quality Steak Pies and Chicken Kiev’s.. as always; the feedback from your produce has been fantastic!
And lastly a final thank you to the SGC for asking us to supply the catering and to each and everyone of you that supported us throughout the week - we look forward to seeing you all again in the future!
