SGC Development Week

From Saturday 18th to Friday 24th April we were back at the Scottish Gliding Centre for the duration of their Cross Country Development Week.

A cracking week with glider pilots travelling from all over the UK to take part in this biennial event. We were catering from the trailer each morning and afternoon, then three nights saw us take over their onsite cafe cooking up two course dinners for those staying on site... a mix of hearty meals such as Steak Pies, Peppered Grill Steaks (all from Thomson Of Thornton Butchers of course!) and Chinese Chicken Curry, followed by some well-earned puddings after those long days airside!

While the weather was beautifully sunny, it didn’t quite play ball for cross country conditions, but that didn’t stop it being a fantastic week all round. It was really nice to catch up with some familiar faces we haven’t seen since 2024!
