Babcock: Rosyth Royal Dockyard

Tuesday 27th May – A truly memorable day down at Babcock Rosyth Royal Dockyard, where we had the honour of catering at the unveiling of the world’s first Type 31 frigate, HMS Venturer.

With 2,500 members of staff coming together to celebrate this monumental milestone in maritime engineering, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric – a real moment of pride for the whole workforce!!  

On the food front, the team pulled out all the stops to keep energy high and stomachs full… From breakfast rolls, to hot dogs, Stephens Bakery Bridies, fresh pizza from Scottish Pizza Co, ice creams, and freshly brewed coffee – there was something for everyone, and plenty of it!  

Despite a moody weather forecast and a short-lived downpour, the skies thankfully cleared and the celebrations continued in sunshine.

Due to the nature of the site and event, we weren’t able to take any photos on the day – but rest assured, the smiles, energy, and pride in the air were unforgettable!!

A huge thank you to the organisers and crew for having us along for such a special occasion – and a massive congratulations to everyone involved in bringing HMS Venturer to life.
